The North Cotswolds make an excellent base for touring both around the Cotswolds and the nearby areas of Warwickshire and Oxfordshire. As well as visiting by car, the Cotswolds makes a perfect place to visit for those who like to walk. One has the major walkways such as The Cotswolds Way and the Heart of England Way as well as many public footpaths running through the rolling hills of the Cotswolds.
The accommodation available in the area spans the whole gambit from bed & breakfast establishments to 5 Star Hotels. Many visitors though prefer the freedom that comes with self catering accommodation – not having to get up at any particular time for breakfast or be back for an evening meal and one can always be assured that that the meals provided will always be one’s favourites ! Self Catering means that one may also be able to take pets away with you. Not all owners allow pets but a fair proportion do, saving on boarding fees. Whether one is looking for cosy character cottage style accommodation or more modern lodgings, you can be sure that something to meet your requirements can be found.
There are many places to visit in the North Cotswolds ranging from beautifully landscaped gardens and stately homes to entertainment for the younger generations such as Farm Parks, Model Villages and Toy Museums.
